Changelog

Version history for nx_hud.

0.5.1 (2026-10-15)

Added

  • Ten languages: English, Finnish, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Dutch, Italian and Polish. They cover the HUD and its settings sheet, notifications, menus and dialogs, the inventory with its shops, crafting and licences, targeting, and the windscreen navigation. Players can pick their own in the /ox_lib settings menu. See Translations.
  • Compat.locale in config/compat.lua sets the server's language ('en' by default). A setr ox:locale line in server.cfg still overrides it.

0.5.0 (2026-10-14)

Shops now show how players pay and let them choose, and the gameplay API from 0.4.0 shows its results in the shop, at the bench and at the licence counter, so they no longer show up only as a refused purchase.

Added

  • Players choose how to pay in a shop. A shop's payment can be a list, for example { 'money', 'bank' }, and the player switches with Q / E or a click. The choice is remembered. NxInventory.payments.choices in config/inventory.lua sets the list for shops without one, and is cash or card out of the box.
  • Payment methods take balance (shown in the shop, and it limits the amount), allowed (keeps a method from a player, with a reason) and prefix / suffix (1,000 chips instead of $1,000).
  • Buying a licence asks first, naming the price, the payment and the balance. setLicencePriceModifier and the licencePrice hook event change what a licence costs.
  • Crafting benches show what a recipe needs (job, grade, licence, tools) and lock it with the reason, show the success chance (hide it per recipe with hideChance = true), and say whether a failed craft used the parts.
  • The shop and crafting screens are translated (English and Finnish).
  • hasJob for inventory/custom/server.lua.

Changed

  • 'bank' is labelled "Card" and shows the bank balance.
  • Society accounts ('society:<name>') pay only for members of that job. Set SOCIETY_MIN_GRADE in inventory/custom/server.lua to limit it to bosses.
  • A locked shop item says why: a licence, the job grade, or a payment the player may not use.
  • setSearchCheck returning true now lets the search happen, and the server ends a search it no longer allows.
  • forceOpenInventory and viewInventory ask the open gates first.
  • The interaction dots stay on their props when the camera turns fast.
  • The HUD appears sooner after joining a server for the first time: about 3 seconds instead of 8.

Fixed

  • A shop priced in a payment method showed the method as an item ("10 × card") and refused every purchase.
  • A per-player price went back to the shop's own price after buying a stocked item.
  • A shop with a payment resolver refused purchases the resolver would have paid for.
  • A refused licence purchase showed no message, and "can not afford" did not name the price.

0.4.0 (2026-10-13)

This version adds a gameplay API, so your own scripts can change how shops, crafting, searching and item use work, and opens more of the resource for editing.

Added

  • HUD client exports: setStatus and getStatus to override the hunger, thirst and stress gauges, moneyPop to show a money change on any account, and pushHit to flash the damage indicator from your own damage.
  • registerFuelReader and registerSeatbeltReader, for fuel and seatbelt scripts the HUD does not know.
  • Inventory client exports: addOpenGate, addUseGate and removeGate, registerItemEffect and removeItemEffect, and setStealCheck.
  • Payment methods for shops and licences: registerPaymentMethod, removePaymentMethod and setPaymentResolver. 'bank' and 'society:<name>' ship as methods, and a shop takes a payment field next to the item currency.
  • Per-player shop prices with setShopPriceModifier and the new shopPrice hook event.
  • registerCraftingBench and removeCraftingBench to add benches at runtime. Recipes take chance, failResult, requires and resultMetadata, and the new craftResult hook event can cancel a craft or set the result's metadata.
  • The buyLicense hook event, and a payment field in the buyItem payload.
  • setSearchCheck to decide who may search another player.
  • NxInventory.rules in config/inventory.lua: give range, reach for shops, crafting, licences, searching and dumpsters, the drop distance, the dumpster size and the crafting queue.

Changed

  • More files are readable and editable: inventory/custom/client.lua (item effects, who can be searched, the give animation, distances, the drop bag) and inventory/custom/server.lua (payment methods, serial numbers, loot), the give, vehicle, dumpster, licence, command and compatibility modules, the HUD's data adapters, the indicator sync, the ESX interface capture, shared preferences, the txAdmin relay and the default vehicle door options. See Customization.
  • The framework bridges gained money and society functions (getMoney, removeMoney, addMoney, getSociety, removeSociety, addSociety), which the payment methods use.

Versions before 0.4.0 are not documented here.
